Only one large business representative has applied for the Bond Compliance Oversight Committee.
Arthur Hall from the Bill Wilson Center is the sole applicant for the position.
The City of Santa Clara is moving forward with the random draw for committee members, set for Wednesday, May 7, 2025, at 5:30 p.m. in the City Council Chambers.
The lottery-style draw will be handled by elected City Clerk Bob O’Keefe. Committee members will serve up to four years and be confirmed by the City Council.
The committee will oversee the $400 million infrastructure bond approved by voters in November 2024. It’s tasked with ensuring transparency, reviewing audits, and advising the City Council on bond expenditures.
In addition to the large business spot, there are 11 applicants for the small business position. Seven residents will also be drawn for specific district seats and one at-large seat.

Oh CSC, there you go with your conspiracy theories again. Is this what Jed told you to say?
There are some talented people on this list, there are also some that have no business being there.
You chose to go after one person specifically. Why is that? I sense you may be afraid of someone who is committed to our city, is intelligent, well spoken and wants to do more. This can be said for many of the others as well.
But as always, you just want to paint the narrative that your handlers tell you too.
Mr. Friday…. Do not waste any more time responding to what the “AI” Ghost Writing team of CSC is trying to offer to us as fact.
They are just a group of consultant, that the 49ers have chosen to do some of their dirty work.
Our City is saddled with this NFL franchise. We were lied to, we were taken in.
So sad, we put our trust in someone who obviously never understood what a “Win / Win” scenario even looked like. Or worse yet, what the many mutual benefits both parties can actually celebrate together.
Is Jed Baby a bad person? I doubt it, I really do. Sadly this is really more of a NFL issue than anything else. Almost every NFL host city has to deal with this mess.
Interesting, not so with MLB, NBA, or the NHL. They all seem to have great working relationships with their host Cities.
Read the book “Field of Schemes”. In great detail it covers the issues many of the other NFL Cities have had to deal with.

I’m sure an insult to my lack of a College Degree will be thrown in there.
My Best Friend of 60+ years just retired from a large local company. He had a very successful run with some really, really large local companies. In short he was a true success story, and yes he went to Buchser / Curtis / Sutter as well.
Just for fun the other day, we did the math, I still had 2 more college units than he ever earned.

Just like Trump. Convicted felon, but just won’t go away. Vikas Gupta needs this spot. He has done
more than his share for this community.
It appears the SCPOA may have been recruiting, as about half a dozen current and former Chiefs’ Advisory Committee members put their names in the hat for the Bond Oversight Committee. Yvonne Inciarte appears to simultaneously be on the Chief’s Advisory Committee, Historical and Landmarks Commission, and working for Rep. Ro Khanna’s office. Throw on the Bond Oversight Committee, and she’s got her hands full.
The sentiment here about Becker volunteering is understandable. However, the Courts have ruled that even the once convicted (not in State or Federal Prison), who are being taxed, are allowed to participate in government.
Becker is just a candidate, not on the committee.
I laughed when I saw it.
There are a few others I’d stay away from too.
Just my opinion
Is it the notoriety or stupidity? Just do your 40 day “sweetheart jail sentence” of mandated trash pick up and stop the foolishness.
Why is felony convict Becker is going to be on the committee? Why is he allowed to hold any position in politics. He’s already demonstrated his inability to determine right from wrong. He is a liability and probably a mole for the 49ers to boot. He really should move out of the city where he can have a fresh start.
