Mission College turns up the rhythm tonight with a live performance from Edgardo & Candela, a high-energy salsa band led by renowned percussionist Edgardo Cambón.

Known for blending traditional and contemporary Latin sounds, the group promises a night of nonstop dancing in the Central Plaza. The free concert begins at 6:30 p.m.

It’s the latest installment in Mission College’s Summer Concert Series, part of the school’s 50th anniversary celebration. Guests are encouraged to bring blankets and chairs and grab dinner from local food trucks.

The series kicked off earlier this month and continues through August, featuring salsa, blues, jazz, and more.
