Santa Clara Looking for 2026 Super Bowl and FIFA Slogan – How About “No Tax Dollars?”

By Robert Haugh

The City of Santa Clara is circulating a simple, one-answer survey online to “prepare to welcome the world to Santa Clara for Super Bowl LX and FIFA World Cup in 2026.”

It’ll be used to “inspire the slogan and spirit behind our upcoming community events.”

The survey is only open for the next 9 days and will close on July 10.

Will the City allow “not tax dollars” and “fiscal responsibility” to be acceptable answers?

There’s only one way to find out …

  1. Pushover.
The council is full of weak minded cowards that are afraid of the football team.

  2. We should flood the survey with our comments without any spaces like Brian did. Great idea!!
    Mine is submitted

  3. The survey, today, asks for a single word rather than a phrase, encapsulating “the spirit of Santa Clara” … maybe “opaque” or “disingenuous?”

  4. Here was my “one word” response: “Whyareyouwastingtaxpayermoneyonthisridiculoussurvey?” Shouldn’t the 49ers be paying for this use of City resources?

    • Brian Doyle…. I really like him!!! How lucky were we as a City to have him actually work for us… you know us, the residents?

Mr. Doyle, I take my hat off to you. Look forward to seeing you around town.
