Levi’s Stadium is opening its field to Santa Clara residents for an eight-hour community event tomorrow, Saturday, Feb. 28, from noon to 8 p.m.
The City is promoting “Celebrate Santa Clara: A Day on the Field” as an all-ages day of games, art, music and community activities inside the stadium bowl and on the field.
Organizers are advertising community scrimmages, a field-day style fitness setup with multiple activity zones, booths hosted by City departments and community partners, and a “community concert” billed as a dance party on the field.
Tickets are free but limited to Santa Clara residents and must be reserved through Ticketmaster.
A Ticketmaster account is required, and residents must use the code SC2026 to unlock the offer. Up to six tickets are available per household. Children under 2 do not need a ticket.
Entry will be through Gate A, which will serve as the main ticket scanning and security screening location. The event uses mobile tickets only, and tickets are listed as non-transferable, meaning the original Ticketmaster account holder must present them at the gate.
The City says a Guest Services/Ticket Support area will be available at Gate A for anyone needing help on arrival. Once inside, it’s general admission with no reserved seating. The event is listed as fully ADA accessible.
Parking is paid. Event parking will be offered in Green Lot 1, off Tasman Drive and Great America Parkway.
The City says pre-paid parking can be purchased through Ticketmaster when reserving tickets for $11.75 per vehicle.
Attendees are also warned Levi’s Stadium’s bag policy will be in effect; non-compliant bags must be returned to vehicles, and the policy is “subject to change.”
The event notice also includes a photo disclaimer stating that attendance constitutes permission for photos of attendees, including children, to be used for promotional purposes.

When “Free” is not really free is it? Have to use an app and pay to $11.95 to park. Is anyone just tired of the pay extra for everything nowadays? Now its pay for a free event? For a real event there are security and attendant costs to cover; but this? A nonevent, just looking at the inside of the stadium and its exclusive to Santa Clara residents only? A guess would be the charge is covering the cost of the Ticket Master app managing the tickets.
Remember this Santa Clarans when you pay your property taxes and all the other state and local taxes/fees foisted upon you daily. And let me remind you that you are paying the highest in the nation in every category. You deserve more.
At least let a “free” “Celebrating Santa Clara” event actually be free for Santa Clara residents.
OMG, a free event but you Must have a Ticketmaster Account and PAY for Parking! Ticketmaster has been Hacked in the past and has a million lawsuits in progress related to their unscrupulous practices. Who organized this, the 49’er Five?
A Better idea would have Free Parking and just check ID’s for residency on entrance. Ticketmastr is totally unnecessary.
