Santa Clara Organizations and Businesses to be Honored:
Gillmor gave her state-of-the-city address in multiple locations last year, too. It was a big change from the past city addresses. That’s when the Santa Clara Chamber of Commerce hosted the event. The last one was in 2017. That’s when the Chamber misspelled Gillmor’s name on the invitation. Gillmor snubbed the Chamber by sending then Vice Mayor Dominic Caserta. That may have been the beginning of the end for both the Chamber and Caserta. The Chamber couldn’t even put together an event in 2018. And Caserta left office in disgrace. (Note: we’ll be writing more soon about the Chamber recently changing its name).
