Yes; amazing to us that Park and Jain were re-elected, especially with the likes of David Kertes running against Suds. Good news is that David is neither evaporating nor disappearing (as those of us who have been fighting to get the ISC reinstated like to say – and thanks for including that fiasco on your list of SC City disasters); he has hopes and plans of still being a part of local government perhaps in 2026. A major part of all these outcomes is that Santa Clarans are simply not aware of all this corruption, but, thanks to your news site and comments from other astutely aware Santa Clarans, there is hope for enlightenment. Feeling positive for 2025.
It’s obvious where the money to finance the 49er council seats comes from. Us; the city of Santa Clara has been losing millions to the niner crooks.
So people are paying attention to the negative news. With this bad publicity and who was involved – how did Jain and Park get re-elected? How did Gonzalez get elected now knowing he voted to give that $1.6M to Caserta? And he got elected with Jed’s PAC knowing as a school board trustee that SCUSD got screwed in that lawsuit? Were the ballot boxes stuffed? Seriously??!!
The next 2 years are crucial for the 2026 election. We can only hope the ugliness of what Santa Clara’s local elections have become thanks to Jed York will cease and desist. Good people will not be dissuaded from running especially since mayor’s seat will be open and districts 2 and 3 will be open.
One of the top 10 stories should have been the defeat of Measures A and B. The people spoke. Jed’s attempt to control our PD failed miserably. Suds Jain led a sinking ship on that one.
Santa Clara 2025 has a blank slate. Let’s fill it with positivity. Hoping next years’s top 10 list reflects a totally different theme of stories.
