Because of the need for housing, the Santa Clara City Council has unanimously approved Irvine Company’s proposal to redevelop a 25.74-acre parcel into a residential apartment community. 

The project, located south of Mission College Boulevard and bordered by Freedom Circle, will feature 1,792 residential units across five five-story buildings. 

The development includes approximately 3,500 square feet of retail space and 4.225 acres of public park land.

Affordable housing will be integrated into the project with 5 percent set aside for very-low-income tenants and 10 percent reserved for moderate-income residents.

The site is located near major amenities such as Great America Theme Park and Levi’s Stadium. It’s also near Santa Clara Square.

The project aligns with the Freedom Circle Future Focus Area Plan, aiming to balance residential growth with commercial and office spaces.
