Santa Clara City Councilmember Kevin Park was under investigation for a domestic disturbance call to his home on June 11, 2025.
Santa Clara News Online (SCNO) requested the police report weeks ago, but was informed that the incident was under investigation. According to a local attorney, that’s not standard.
SCNO requested an update yesterday, but the City’s Police Department did not respond by the end of the day.

This is not the first time Park has been involved in a domestic disturbance incident.
In 2017 and 2018, Park had the police come to his home on two separate occasions for a domestic violence call.
It’s also not the first time the City’s Police Department has handled the request for information about Park’s involvement in an unusual way.
In April 2021, Santa Clara community leader Debbie Algieri wrote an SCNO op-ed about her experience requesting information about Park.
“So I requested information to see for myself what his neighbors have been discussing. I got a police report through the police department as required by law. But a few days afterward, I got an email from Assistant Police Chief Wahid Kazem asking me to destroy the documents. He said the report had to be redacted.”
In a May 2021 SCNO investigation, sources said Kazem took over the department’s handling of the reports about the incidents at Park’s home only after Algieri received the original, unredacted reports.
Then, between April 20 and 23, Kazem took steps to redact them.
Kazem contacted Algieri on April 23 with the redacted reports.
The very next day, Kazem was given an award by the Silicon Valley Korean American Federation.
Kazem appeared at the April 24, 2 p.m. event to receive his award and pose with the group, including Park.
This is a developing story.

Kazem was following the law and city policy. He did nothing wrong and in fact was protecting the city from a large lawsuit had the report not been redacted. This is common sense and he was doing his job instead of making a subordinate do it. The worker who released the report made a huge mistake and the city would have had to pay for that if Park had sued, and he would have. Kazem is not covering for anything at all. The body of the report was left alone, just the names were redacted PER CA LAW.
Park is a pig. Plain and simple. As a colleague from another city, I have been embarrassed just listening (as he denigrates his city) and watching him (eat all the food) at conferences. People avoid him. They know he is weird. The vibes he gives off keeps people away. I don’t know how this pig got reelected. At least this is his last term. However, he should never have been elected but that’s another story. I hope there is an expose on this pig. It’s long overdue.
Lord the 49ers can sure pick ‘em.
You got Becker on the county work plan
for criminal felony perjury and can’t
run for public office. You got Jain
the complicit friend who covered up
Becker’s crime until he was forced to
give it up. Now you got the PD potentially
covering up for Park? Seems there needs
to be another GJ report and investigation
by DA. Doesn’t Park have a child? How is
that child impacted by all of this? Where
the heck is she? Still being babysitted by
City Hall staff?
Ran into a fairly large group of people last year as I was trying to help my friend and former Santa Clara City Council Member Teresa O’Neil get re-elected to represent us.
I had no idea where Kevin Park lived, nor did I care.
There is a small court here in our City, a total of 10 homes make up that court.
Court living can be an unbelievable opportunity to create a fun, and inclusive environment. Families who often live in Courts often talk about the large parties, and friendships that go well beyond the neighborhood fences.
However after talking to the neighbors and without even asking, over half of them asked me if I had an “Elect Teresa O’Neil”, lawn sign.
That’s not a common request, but thankfully I had some with me.
A few of them quickly followed that request up with a very simple, sad and telling statement.
“We hate him”.
Kevin Park, somehow got elected to represent us. Heck if I do my math right, he didn’t even win his own neighborhood, and I’m not talking votes, I’m talking Lawn Signs.

Pay tell, where is Park’s Chief Public Image lobbyist Mary O Grizzle, now?
은폐하기 위한 Apparently there are several ways to say ‘to cover up’ in Korean. But either way this smells like bad kimchee. Odd that if it is just a domestic ‘disturbance’ why is there a victim to redact? I remember that incidence of you being asked to destroy the unredacted report.
If the assistant police chief is doing this with the chief’s knowledge he needs to be held to account. If he is doing this w/o the chief’s knowledge, he needs to be held to account for incompetence.
Glad to see this! The neighbors, and I am one, have seen Park’s wife run from the house crying to get away from Park’s abuse. Everyone knows this. This is the 3rd time police were called but who knows how many times he has hurt her?
Get to the bottom of this SCPD!!
