- Action on a Written Petition submitted by Nikki Welch requesting to Place an Agenda Item on a Future Council Meeting for Council to Discuss SB9 Application Fee Waiver for Low-Income Homeowner by Grant or Government Loan

Wow, not a word about 950 Monroe Street. An 85 ft. (8 story) monstrosity building across from Wilson’s Bakery looking right into the Old Quad historical district.
Yes, this will be an entrance to the new downtown. So sad.
Who says money can’t buy everything?
Let’s hope the city council declined this amendment.
Richard, it’s mentioned above:
Public Hearing: Actions on an Environmental Impact Report (EIR) and Mitigation Monitoring and Reporting Program (MMRP), General Plan Amendment to the Community Mixed-Use Designation and Related Policies, Rezone to Planned Development, and Vesting Tentative Subdivision Map for the Development of 50 Multi-Family Residential Units, Four Townhomes, Three Single-Family Residences, and 3,800 Square Feet of Ground floor Commercial Space for the Properties Located at 906-950 Monroe Street and 1341 Homestead Road
I was referring to no one had commented on it since it’s a giant impact to the downtown. Nothing from Reclaim or okra.
The 950 Monroe project gets up to six stories not eight. And along the Monroe Street side it starts off by preserving the two homes that are there now and has a three story and four story section before reaching the six story full height.
Mr. Haugh
Update… they are asking me to show up to the City Council Meeting? Let me now rethink this….
I was really was looking forward to spending some time with some friends and maybe having a laugh or two. However going into a room where you just got your “Walnuts” kicked in, not so much.
Maybe I can get that “Signal” app and ask Jed Baby what he wants me to do? It will like our own little private conversation.
So to sum this all up, I am sure I have better things to do, I mean, picking fleas off my dog’s butt now ranks higher.

Mr. Haugh, I will not be able to attend the 49er Council Meeting tomorrow night. However, I will be very close by, maybe 150 yards or so.
I’ve been invited to attend a farewell meeting of sorts.
Sadly…For “No Reason” (Yes we do know why) I was removed from my volunteer position with the City.
Yes, volunteer position. By all accounts no complaints ever filed, and in the end, “No Reason” given or spoken. Which is ironic given my removal was based on me actually voicing my opinion.
Now remember I am just a 1978 Buchser High School Grad,
But here is what the First Amendment covers?
Freedom of Religion
Freedom of the Press
Freedom of Speech
Why did the Founding Fathers of our Country agree to make Freedom of Speech a corner stone of our Country? Simply because they also knew it would also be the first thing attacked.
So In 6 years I earned $0 dollars from Santa Clara.
$0 per year for 6 years is how much money?
I bet even the 49er 4.1 Council Members can figure that math problem out. If not they can send a “Signal” text to their boss, I’m sure he has an answer.
So…. Mayor Gillmor and Santa Clara Council Member Watanabe please do not expect to see me at your meeting tomorrow night.
Really sorry you have to sit in a room with people who do not have our Cities best interest at heart.
City of Santa Clara registered voters are also the only people on earth who can change this…
We are powerful. So powerful, Jed York and the 49ers have spent Millions over the last few elections to confuse you, and to sway your votes, so much we are now run by 4.1 persons who do not have your best interest at heart.
All they need is 4, but currently have another 0.1 vote to play around with.
PLEASE
Register to vote, and remember whatever Jed York wants, just vote the other way. Turn over all the flyers that will come in and see who is behind them….
Millions have been spent, Millions more are coming at us, again. Our poor mailboxes, TV, Radio, Newsprint, text messages don’t stand a chance.
So why does the Jed York / DeBartolo spend that much money on elections? Because it makes financial sense to him and his best interest.
Below is my invite to my last Parks and Recreation Meeting.
I will be in attendance at that meeting.
